Teen Conservatory | Oakland Classes

Scene Study 📝

Where: Academy HQ, 300 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, 110, Oakland, CA 94612

Wednesdays October 5- December 14th

Time: 6:00-7:00 PM

Participants will read a new influential piece of theatre every week. They will be exposed to a wide variety of work, from Brecht to Qui Nguyen. Through discussion, youth will dive deeply into the scripts and talk about how it could relate to their lives and our world today. There will be an emphasis on work by playwrights from the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. 

Students will select their favorite works for a showcase at the end of the session.
