Come and See Our Animals Enjoy Holiday Treats

Join us this weekend for "Joy to the Animals!" Come to see our animals receive a variety of holiday-themed enrichment, including presents, Christmas trees and more! Make sure to stop by the Playfield Café Hot Cocoa Bar featuring all the fixings for both kids and adults. And don’t forget that we are open every day in December, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Become a Guardian Member & Enjoy a Holiday Breakfast on December 24

We're excited to welcome our Guardian Members to celebrate the holiday season with a special series of VIP breakfasts at the Zoo! The December 17th breakfast is now full, but there is availability on December 24th. Come to the Great Hall between 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. for a hot breakfast, face painters, crafts, cookie decorating and an exclusive photo opportunity with Santa!  If you are interested in becoming a Guardian member and joining us on 12/24, please contact Deb Howe in the Development office at Debh at sfzoo.org (mailto:Debh at sfzoo.org) . Please note that Santa will only be appearing on December 24th.
Gorillas on the Line at the Nutcracker

We're proud to partner with the SF Ballet this holiday season! Bring any of the following to a Nutcracker performance at the War Memorial Opera House or the entrance of San Francisco Zoo to help save gorillas: Cell phones, tablets, iPods/mP3 players, smart watches, adapters, chargers, handheld gaming devices and headphones. Please no laptops or larger electronics. Here at SF Zoo, we provide our animals opportunities to demonstrate a full range of natural behaviors. During winter months, instead of going into a full hibernation brown and black bears go into torpor which is a time of lower activity and metabolic rates.
