Expedition Snow Leopard: Now Open for a Sneak Peek!

We are thrilled to announce that our new snow leopard habitat expansion, "Expedition Snow Leopard," is now open for a sneak peek! "Jimmy G" is still acclimating to his new home, which features rocky outcrops that replicate the snow leopard's native range in South and Central Asia, while juveniles, Casper and Jinx, remain in the original habitat. Snow leopards are the only exclusively alpine cat in the world and are superb jumpers, so this habitat was designed to allow for upward mobility with elevated platforms for resting and observing from high perspectives. We are proud to continue to tell the important story of the snow leopard's plight in the wild in hopes to ensure a future for these magnificent cats.

*Due to this species vulnerability to COVID-19, SF Zoo respectfully requests face coverings while in the snow leopard vicinity
Mask Mandate Update

With California's mask mandate recently lifted, we want to share some updates regarding masks here at SF Zoo. Masks are no longer required outdoors on the Little Puffer Steam Train but we respectfully ask that you keep your masks on indoors and in areas with sensitive animals like snow leopards and all primates, including chimpanzees. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Senior Mornings are Back!

We are thrilled to announce the return of Senior Mornings! During the first Thursday of each month, Senior-level Members are invited to join us before the Zoo's gates open at 9 a.m. We look forward to welcoming our seniors on March 3!
