Volunteers will work one on one with students K-8 assisting with math, reading and writing, which includes with Spanish and Chinese speakers. If you're interested in becoming a tutor, email channing.hale at sfgov.org or sign up at this link. For more information about the program, click the link below. TLC Program India Basin Shoreline Park Hypecourt Nears Completion We're getting close to finishing the hypecourt mural at the India Basin Shoreline Park basketball courts! Our Video of the Week comes from the San Francisco Parks Alliance and highlights the progress made. The India Basin Waterfront Park Project identified the court as an opportunity to connect recreation and cultural expression by installing a hypecourt: a colorful, graphic mural installed on the surface of a basketball court. The project team worked with Nina Fabunmi (pictured above), a local artist who is a part of the Hunters Point Shipyard Artists community, and a cohort of local youth to create designs that reflect themselves. Stay tuned for a celebration of the hypecourt's completion at the link below.
