ZOO HIGHLIGHTS
Join us October 22-23 and 29-30 as we transform the Playfield Café and Lawn to the Zoo Brew Haus. We will pour a great selection of brews, including our very own Zoo Beer, and cook up a full smorgasbord of German-inspired dishes. During lunch, dine to the upbeat sounds of music...you might even want to get up and dance!
Boo at the Zoo Returns on October 29-30

Celebrate a family- friendly Halloween with us during Boo at the Zoo (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=85546500ea&e=7683a9aed3) on October 29 and 30.  See the animals enjoy special Halloween-themed enrichment and pick up a bag of candy on your way out. At noon on each event day, participate in a fun costume parade and contest with prizes awarded for the top three in these categories: Best Costume, Best Family Costume and Best Animal Costume. The costume parade and contest will take place at the Friend Family Playground.
Thanksgiving and Winter Zoo Camp Registration: Coming Soon

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...

Due to the recent discovery of avian influenza in San Francisco county, our animal and animal health teams are diligently working to ensure the safety of all the birds in our care. This includes the shuffling around of susceptible species, including moving the pelicans to Penguin Island. They look exceptionally majestic at Penguin Island and are getting along well with the penguins thus far!

Our Horticulture Team helps provide browse materials for our animals, including eucalyptus for our koalas. Check out this behind-the-scenes look at what goes into collecting eucalyptus for our koalas, Stacey and Cobar Wollemi, in this video by the Associated Press. Great work, team!
