Celebrate Earth Day at EarthFest!

Every day is a reason to celebrate Earth Day, but we are excited to host a special EarthFest (https://sfzoo.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=05b8326f4402b997fe7a097e3&id=6563faf1fa&e=7683a9aed3) celebration on Saturday, April 22nd! Come and enjoy a variety of activities like a Smoothie Bicycle and Pop-up Plant Shop and meet with some of our partners like Recology to learn ways you can make an impact on our planet. We'll also have some cool signs with tips on how to save the planet!  The event will run from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. and is located throughout the Zoo.
There's Still Time to Bid on ZooFest Silent Auction

Can’t make it to ZooFest 2023 on Friday?  You can still participate in our silent auction online. New Garden Tours!

Enhance your enjoyment of our spectacular gardens and plant collections with our new Botanical Tour - beginning this Earth Day, April 22! During a 60-minute tour with our botany experts, you'll learn about the beautiful, rare and threatened species and how they support the biodiversity of our animal residents.
SF Ballet Presents Romeo & Juliet

One of San Francisco Ballet's greatest showpieces, Romeo & Juliet, takes the stage at the War Memorial Opera House April 21 thru April 30. Passionate dancing, spine-tingling swordmanship, and stunning set and costume designs bring Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers to life! Don't miss the final program of SF Ballet's 90th season. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...

Sadly, we bid farewell to our 21-year-old male North American river otter, "Trent," who lived a long and fulfilling life. He was known for his love of crab legs, his beloved hollow log and burlap bags, which he would often curl up in and take long afternoon naps. Trent was an amazing ambassador of his species, capturing the hearts of many with his playful spirit and mischievous grin, while also teaching us about the importance of protecting wildlife.
