Dear all,

I'm hoping that the five confirmation students are still planning to be
around on Christmas Eve! Please confirm asap.

We're hoping to have a procession similar to last year, where all the kids
in high school or younger accompany me with the baby Jesus to the manger at
the start of the service.

In addition, I'm hoping for the five of you to present the gospel (the
Christmas story from Luke) together. I'm wondering whether any of you are
singers. We traditionally sing two Christmas carol verses during the
reading of the story, and so I wonder if any of you would be up for singing
those instead of the whole congregation. If not, that's fine - we'll just
have the congregation sing.

Anyway, I hope to hear from you soon. Sorry for these close-to-Christmas
Eve questions!

Peace,
Janet

Justice, therefore, represents the peace of God. This peace is freedom from
the violence that distorts the human person. It is the elimination, in
other words, of systems, constructs, and all actualities of violence. God's
peace thus requires a radical restructuring of a political, social, and
economic order that is sustained by and thus creates 'crucified classes of
people.' *Kelly Brown Douglas, Stand Your Ground, p. 195*
