ZOO CAMP 2023 PROGRAM UPDATES
* Zoo Camp will operate MONDAY - FRIDAY, no camp the week of July 4th.
* All campers must provide proof of vaccination prior to attending camp.
* Members can use discount code MEMBER23 for full-day camps and MEMPREK23 for Pre-K camps.
* UPDATE: AFTERCARE will be available this summer! ZooCamp will offer AfterCare from 3:30-5:00pm, Monday-Friday for $150. (No pro-rating)

Zoo Camp Questions

** What are the themes for this summer's ZooCamp?

This summer, the theme is Conservation and Biodiversity.
Camps are designed by week, and the curriculum is based on each lead instructor’s expertise with animals and the environmental sciences. Each grade level will have curriculum designed for their age, there will be two weeks' worth of camp activities, with some duplication.  In preparation for summer registration, please choose the weeks your family is available, and the grade level your child will be attending in the Fall of 2023.
* Week 1: June 19-23
* Week 2: June 26-June 30
* NO CAMP the WEEK of July 4^th
* Week 3: July 10- July 14
* Week 4: July 17- July 21
* Week 5: July 24- July 28
* Week 6: July 31-Aug 4
* Week 7: Aug 7-Aug 11

How many weeks can I register for?
In an effort to make room for more families, we are asking parents to limit their sign-up to 1 or 2 weeks of camp.  Campers can not be registered for MORE than 2 weeks of camp. Campers should be registered for no more than 2 weeks during the summer; the Zoo reserves the right to cancel additional weeks at any time without advance notice. No refunds or transfers will be issued, but you may elect to receive credit for later use.

What is the Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations must be received by email.   A 100% refund will be issued for cancellation requests received within 24 hours of registration. The timestamp on your email will serve as reference for potential refunds.  A 75% refund will be issued for cancellation requests received by April 30, 2023, and the non-refundable 25% will be forfeited completely and is non-transferable.  A 50% refund will be issued for cancellation requests received by May 31, 2023, and the non-refundable 50% will be forfeited completely and is non-transferable.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations starting June 1, 2023.  These policies hold for instances of illness (including Covid-19 infection) and family emergencies. There is a $25 fee to transfer more than 24 hours after registering, if a spot is available. The timestamp on your request email will serve as a reference for potentially waiving this fee.

What do you have available this summer for 7th graders, 8th graders, and High School students?
We are still working out the details for our “teen programs” including the age range, and will have something posted on our zoo camp website towards the end of April. Please email us at zoocamp at sfzoo.org with your interest, and we will keep you posted.
