Join us for Eggstravaganza presented by Kinder Joy®!
Come and experience the beautiful blooms and celebrate Easter during Eggstravaganza presented by Kinder Joy® this Saturday, April 1! We had an overwhelming response and the egg hunts are full but there is still plenty of fun to be had!  As you explore the zoo, participate in an exclusive scavenger hunt to discover egg-laying animals around the Zoo and make sure to get a photo with the Easter bunny while you’re here! The scavenger hunt will take place on April 1st from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and can be picked up at the Friend Family Playground. And make sure to stop by the Koret Center for Animal Rescue and Conservation (ARC) to see our very own rabbits, Lulu and Georgie! Summer Conservation Camp Registration is Now Open

Encourage your children to be part of SF Zoo’s Environmental Conservation Corps! During these weekly programs, summer campers learn about animals, habitats, biodiversity hot spots, and conservation efforts while exploring the different regions of earth right here at the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens. Experience Oakland Ballet's "Dancing Moons Festival"

In November of 2022, we welcomed the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco to the Zoo to name our male Komodo dragon, "Rinca Damai." As part of the celebration, 13-year-old Djoni Muresan 3D-printed 60 Komodo dragons to give away at the event. In return, we gifted his family a Family Membership and they recorded a video of their visit. Enjoy!

This week is Lobo Week which marks the 25th anniversary of the reintroduction of Mexican gray wolves (lobos) in the American southwest The key to the preservation of the Mexican gray wolf, and many other carnivore species is education. By raising awareness about the importance of carnivores, we can ensure a sustainable future for both people and wildlife. As a top predator in its ecosystem, the Mexican gray wolf provides balance and ensures ecosystem health for a variety of species. Come and visit our wolves to learn more about them!
