Updates, news and events in San Francisco parks   Happy Thanksgiving As we gather for Thanksgiving, we would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this amazing year in our parks. Thanksgiving is more than a holiday; it is an opportunity to pause, take a deep breath, and reflect. It allows us to spend time with family and friends, reconnect, rejuvenate, and express our thanks and appreciation to those who’ve made a difference in our lives. We're grateful to our staff, from gardeners, custodians, and park rangers to our structural maintenance, partnerships, recreation, capital, administration, and property teams, who have risen above challenges to ensure that our parks continue to be vibrant spaces to play, dance, and enjoy the outdoors. The recent transformation and activations of UN Plaza, the renovation of Herz Playground, the adoption of parks in Mission Bay, and the response to extreme winter weather – these are just a few examples from the past year of our team making San Francisco's park system one of the best in the country. To all parkgoers, you are the heartbeat of our system and we extend our deepest thanks. Our parks thrive because of the passion and dedication you bring to them daily, whether through advocacy, active use, or quiet appreciation. We are grateful for each and every one of you. We invite you to step outside with your loved ones this week to rejuvenate and reconnect through our parks.
