Updates, news and events in San Francisco parks   Highlights, News & Announcements Photos: Outside Lands 2024 It was another fantastic weekend for music lovers in our parks, as thousands of revelers enjoyed the annual Outside Lands Music Festival in Golden Gate Park, August 9-11. Headlined by The Killers, Sabrina Carpenter, Sturgill Simpson and Post Malone, the three-day event proved again to be one of the top music festivals in the nation. Photos by Phil Halperin   From the Vault: Ant-Man and Chef Curry, Future Olympic Teammates Congratulations to Team USA and all of the athletes from around the world who competed in the Paris Olympics over the past two weeks. The world saw first-hand what Bay Area basketball fans have seen for some time now: the competitiveness, sportsmanship and pure magic of Stephen Curry. In this photo from 2018, rising star Anthony Edwards (left), then just 17 years old, participated in Curry's SC30 camp, which culminated in an exhibition game at our very own Kezar Pavilion. Who knew Edwards and Curry would later become Olympic teammates, leading the USA to an exhilarating gold medal win?   Duboce ParkJam on August 24 Friends of Duboce Park is excited to announce the first Duboce ParkJam on August 24, from noon to 4 p.m. This free event brings live music to Duboce Park with performances from local musicians, songwriters, and groups.
