Christmas Carolers to Perform this Weekend!
Get into the holiday spirit on Saturday and Sunday, December 21 & 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to enjoy classic Christmas songs sung by The Merrie Olde Christmas Carolers at Entry Village. Decked out in traditional Dickens attire, the carolers will delight you with your favorite holiday standards, so much so that you may even want to sing along to the songs we all know and love.
And while you’re here, be sure to check out the latest virtual reality experience with a holiday twist. Elf Power is available for a limited time only at the VR Zone along with Gorilla Trek and The Great Migration!

E-Waste Drive to Benefit Gorillas on the Line
https://www.sfzoo.org/gorillas-on-the-line/
After receiving new electronic devices as holiday gifts, you might want to consider donating your old cell phones and other small electronics to help save wild gorillas and their habitats. On Saturday and Sunday, January 4 & 5, drop off your electronic devices in the Gorillas on the Line (GotL) donation boxes located in the Gift Shop and Entry Village during our e-waste drive.
Acceptable items include: cell phones, chargers and adapters, tablets, handheld gaming, MP3 players, smart watches, and headphones. Sorry, batteries, laptops and larger electronics are ineligible for this program.
Cell phones contain coltran, a mineral mined in gorilla habitats in Africa. Because 80% of phones worldwide do not get recycled, gorilla habitats continue to be deforested for coltran. By recycling your phone and other electronics, the need for more coltran mining is reduced, protecting gorillas and their habitats. Gorillas on the Line works with ECO-CELL, an electronics recycling company, to tally and recycle old electronics devices with a portion of the funds generated through the recycling going to AZA’s Gorilla SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction).
