Dear 23-24 SY Hoover Students and Families,

I hope this email finds you well. It is with a bittersweet heart that I
come to you with the news that I will be leaving the classroom after this
school year. After 5 years of teaching 6th grade math to over 750 students,
I have decided it is time for me to seek new opportunities and to continue
the pursuit of my own career aspirations.

I am sincerely grateful for the privilege I have had to teach your child.
As I reflect on my experience at Hoover, I am reminded of the many positive
memories we’ve shared.

I am hoping to host a very informal “hello-goodbye party” on Wednesday, May
29, 2024 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM in my classroom (B37). This will be an
optional drop by and say hi and bye type of party, and you do not have to
stay the whole time. This will be a chance for current and past students
and families to reconnect!

What to expect:

   1.

   Photos! There will be photos (physical and virtual) for you to peruse
   from your 6th grade year (except distance learning year, sadly). There will
   also be a polaroid station!
   2.

   Hangout! Time to chat and reconnect. Perhaps there may be some snacks
   depending on how many people RSVP. Feel free to bring food to share!
   3.

   Games! There will be a lighthearted competition with prizes!
