Hello Hoover Families,
The end of the school year is near! After today, we have 7 more school days
until summer break!
TIME SENSITIVE [and EXCITING] ANNOUNCEMENT:
As the semester is coming to a close, I have an urgent request to ask:
Students have been working hard all year, and will earn their “End of Year
Class Party” next week.
For 1st and 2nd period math classes, it will be on Tuesday, May 28th.
For 4th and 6th period math classes, it will be on Wednesday, May 29th.
I understand this is a *very* last minute request, considering this weekend
is also a four day weekend. If you are able and willing to donate to the
party (completely optional), please keep reading!
If you would like to provide food, please label the food (with any possible
allergens) and have your child bring it to school on the correct day (according
to their math class period).
If you would like to provide money, you can send money via Venmo @msheB37
(QR code attached). Please submit the Venmo payment with your child’s name
and math class period. If you would like to provide cash, please put cash
in an envelope with your child’s name and math class period and I can
accept them *tomorrow* *(Thursday, May 23rd)*. You can still provide cash
next week, but please email me beforehand to let me know the amount so I
can budget accordingly!
THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance for your support and contributions. Again,
providing food and money is completely optional. I hope students will enjoy
their end of year celebration together as 6th graders! If you do not want
your child to participate in eating the food (due to COVID, allergens,
etc.) please notify your child prior to the party next week.
Other class news:
Grades are up to date!
The end of the grading period is next Wednesday, May 29th. For the best
chance of improving grades before the end of the semester, students are
encouraged to make revisions to Milestone Tests (answer keys posted on
Google Classroom). Students are also encouraged to turn in any and all
missing assignments. All work must be submitted by Wednesday, 5/29 at 2:15
PM for grading.
Students, log into StudentVue to check your grades at any time. If you need
your login information, email me at
