The first one was held Oct 18-20 at the Ram Tap horse trials. Participants from Cal Poly, Cuesta, St Marys, Palomar and Sac City competed at levels from starter to intermediate for team challenge ribbons and embroidered saddle pad bags donated from Professional choice. The main difference between the intercollegiate and interscholastic team challenges is that your college DOES NOT need to be a USEA affiliate club. Any rider who is a current student at a college, junior college or university may compete in the team challenge. Teams may be made up of riders from one or more schools, riders may enter at any level offered at the competition and teams may be formed with riders competing at different levels. The scoring system uses a coefficient to adjust for riders competing at different levels.  Your college DOES need to be registered as an affiliate if you would like to go to the Intercollegiate championships that will be held this year May 3-4, 2025 at Stable View horse trials. Fast facts:  Your college DOES NOT need to be registered as an affiliate of the USEA for you to compete in the intercollegiate team challenges If your college IS an affiliate of the USEA, current undergraduates are eligible for a $25 discount on their USEA membership We can help you get your college registered as an affiliate of the USEA. contact USEA Staff Liason, Kaleigh Collett at KCollett at useventing.com or (703) 669-9994. Intercollegiate championships will be held May 3-4, 2025 at Stable View Farm in Aiken, South Carolina. Riders qualify for championships by being on the college roster of a college that is an affiliate of the USEA. There will be an online auction coming soon to raise funds for these team challenges. Our fundraising goal is to be able to provide ribbons and prizes for the team challenges, sponsor clinics and activities, as well as grants for those individuals wanting to go to the Intercollegiate championships.
