Dear Valued Member,

At FamilyTreeDNA, your security is our top priority. To further protect your account and personal information, we’ve updated our password requirements and are asking all users to create a stronger password.

What’s Changing?

Starting now, all passwords must meet these new security standards:
* At least 12 characters long
* Includes at least one uppercase letter (A–Z)
* Includes at least one lowercase letter (a–z)
* Includes at least one number (0–9)
* Includes at least one special character (! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @)


What You Need to Do

To keep your account secure, please update your password by April 30th:
1. Sign in (https://familytreedna.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=390d5a162ff8d6f1abfee7834&id=ad3572ab82&e=2462192b14) to your FamilyTreeDNA account.
2. Follow the prompts to create a new password that meets the updated security requirements.


Review & Update Your Account Information

While you're updating your password, we also encourage you to review your Account Settings (https://familytreedna.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=390d5a162ff8d6f1abfee7834&id=cca3902ded&e=2462192b14) to ensure everything is current:
* Contact Information: Ensure your email and phone number are up to date so we can reach you about important account updates.
* Beneficiary Information: Secure the future of your DNA results by adding a Beneficiary—either an individual or a Group Project.
* Kit Management: If someone else manages your kit, make sure their contact details are listed under Kit Manager.
* Notification Preferences: Verify your email notification settings to ensure you receive only the emails you want.
