Happy Spring Comunidad!

The school year is almost over and we are all amazed with our student's, teachers and community's resilience and joy for learning, exploring and growing.

Please join us for a special community celebration on Friday May 2nd at the Excelsior Science Workshop. We will have wine science and wine tasting, food science experiments, microscope exploration activities, animal family portraits, good food and drinks and lots of other science fun for the whole family.

STEM Programs heading to a Record Year

This 2024-25 School year will be one for the books. With three science workshops running at full steam and an expanded mobile program we are reaching more elementary, middle and high school students than ever before and also expanding our science and engineering programming to expand our environmental science, robotics and engineering curriculum.

Our high school interns have also been working on their end of the year projects which vary from self sustained ecosystems to murals or gamified interactive robotics exhibits.

April Community Days
Like every month we are also hosting Open Community Saturdays. Mission and Excelsior Open Saturdays will be bursting with lots of fun science activities and also free pizza.

This Saturday April 12 we will be having a special Flower Power Saturday that you won't want to miss!
Mobile Programs Boom

We have greatly expanded our mobile programs all over the city from Chinatown and the Tenderloin to Bayview and in between.

We have seen thousands of students in their school classrooms and after school programs with support of our amazing staff and our newly painted Vancent Van Go!

This week we are having Whale on Wheels at Paul Revere K-8th School and we enjoyed tinkering with solar powered super capacitor wobble bots right before Spring break at Hoover Middle School. We also extracted DNA at ER Taylor Elementary and had Blood Vessel week at TECA very recently also!

Thanks for your Support, See you May 2nd!

Gracias comunidad for all your support and helping us keep our programs accessible to all.

We hope to see you all on May 2nd! We have many types of tickets (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mission-science-workshop-community-celebration-fundraiser-tickets-1317882043669?aff=oddtdtcreator) for everyone so please reserve yours to celebrate another year of community science for all San Francisco youth and their families.

Con mucho aprecio,
