Dear Friends, September is “back to school” month for PCT. We are wrapping up our summer training this week and preparing for the Fall. During our Summer Training we enjoy trying new skills, working with different artists, and moving at a more leisurely pace. Fall’s focus brings a welcome contrast to the playful ease of summertime. In September, our Training is more targeted towards specific skills and partnerships. In October, we begin developing our new show. In November, we jump into rehearsals for Reindeer Games. And in December, we get to enjoy the fruits of our labor with you during our holiday show run. Even as we trade our bikinis for backpacks, we have a lot to look forward to. Here’s to a fabulous Fall! PCT is offering a FREE workshop on Sunday, September 14 from 3-4pm at Circus Center as part of Bay Area Theatre Week <https://www.theatrebayarea.org/batw25/> . Our Creative Movement Workshop is an introduction to some of the tools and techniques PCT uses for creating ensemble-based circus theatre productions. The workshop will include ensemble building, creative physical expression, and foundational techniques for weight sharing and partner acrobatics. Following the hour-long workshop, participants will be invited to tour Circus Center's historic building and observe People's Circus Theatre's company training.
