Science (Ms. Estrella)
This week in science Frances has to complete the work posted on Monday’s
slides in her notebook. We had a lab on block day, so if she has Oreo
cookies at home - she can complete it. I have the worksheet to record her
data. She would just need to follow the slides on how to complete it.
On Thursday, I did a lab demo and all she would need to do is copy the
notes and then take a look at the photos. She can email me for specific
questions.
On Friday, we have a quiz (she will need to make it up when she returns),
vocab check and then notes on a map. These she can do if she returns next
week.
If she has any other work she needs to finish for science, it will be best
for her to work on those, too. She has access to them on google
classroom.
If parents want to pick up worksheets, I can have them ready during 2nd
period. If they want me to email it, please have them email me
(estrellaj at sfusd.edu)
Math (Ms. Flores)
All the work is posted on Google Classroom. She can ignore the two
assignments "Climate Investigation Project" and "2/14 Quiz." The project
is a group project, and they're going to have more time to spend on it
next week in class, so she can just get caught up by her group then. The
quiz is a group quiz, so she won't be able to make it up, but I'll just
excuse her from it. I also posted the "2/13 Notes" on there, but she
doesn't need to do anything for that besides read the slides.
Spanish Language Arts (Ms. De la Jara)
Unfortunately, my work is on paper as we are studying when to apply
accents in Spanish. If the students use the computer, it autocorrects and
students don't' get to think.
However the rules for accents are posted in Classwork>recursos de
escritura>Reglas de acentuación and she can practice online with websites
such as:
https://aprenderespanol.org/gramatica/acentuacion-silabas.html
https://www.profedeele.es/actividad/actividad-de-acentos-tildes/
She needs to be reading in Spanish every week for 60 minutes and record it
in her reading log. She can upload a photo of her reading log in Google
classroom.
Please send this to her parents and hope that she can take good care of
herself.
Here is all I heard back. Hopefully the Google Classrooms of the other
classes will have more info. I hope Frances feels better soon and that she
can return next week! Have a great weekend.
Best,
Steve

Hello again,
Wanted to pass along what I already heard back from Ms.
Estrella (Frances' Science teacher) since it involves
potentially emailing her.

As long as the other ones do not require time-sensitive items,
I'll send them all in a list at the end of the school day.

Hi Robin,
I'm really sorry to hear that Frances has been
sick. The best way to get caught up with school
work would be to check each of her Google
Classrooms. I will also send a message to her
teachers today to see if they have any other
assignments or work she can complete over the
weekend. I'll let you know what I hear back by the
end of the day.
We'll be in touch later.
Best,
Steve

Frances has been out sick
basically all week; there's been
vomiting, it's not been great.
We'd really like to get her some
work to help her catch up over
the weekend, how can we do that?
