It took over 20 years and launching an entire industry to get there, but Bennett Greenspan is finally able to do the level of genealogical research he wanted to do when he called the University of Arizona about getting a Y-DNA test run back in 1999.

Since the introduction of Big Y’s Block Tree and the Discover Time Tree, he has been able to place almost all of his Y-25 matches on a tree that goes back to around 150 CE—not only his Greenspan close matches but also the closest 100 men of all surnames in a database approaching a million Y-DNA testers.

In this talk, Bennett will discuss the evolution of Y-DNA testing and the profound effects on his personal genealogical goals.
