At Outward Bound California, we're dedicated to expanding access to outdoor spaces. One way we do this is through our many scholarships, which empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to experience and appreciate the beauty and challenges of nature.

Here's a glimpse of what we offer:
* Outward Bound for Veterans: (https://www.outwardbound.org/expedition-finder?p=1&view=&sort=&school=&columnsort=&age=&locations%5B%5D=112&programs%5B%5D=108&from=&to=&month=&flexibility=&length_min=4&length_max=48&search=) Readjust to life at home through powerful wilderness courses that draw on the healing benefit of teamwork and challenge through use of the natural world.
* LGBTQ+ Pinnacle: (https://www.outwardboundcalifornia.org/planning/scholarships/pinnacle-scholarship-program/) Offered to LGBTQ+ youth seeking an affinity space. The course is staffed with instructors who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
* Pinnacle Program: (https://www.outwardboundcalifornia.org/planning/scholarships/pinnacle-scholarship-program/) This program is open to any motivated youth from under-resourced communities.
* High Sierra Alpine Backpacking & Rock Climbing for POC Young Adults: (https://www.outwardbound.org/course/high-sierra-backpacking-rock-climbing-for-poc-young-adults/854/) This is an affinity course for teens who are People of Color (POC) and is a sliding scale model -  we endeavor to meet 100% of financial need requests on this course
* Youth Leadership Corps: (https://outwardboundcalifornia.org/programs/youth-leadership-corps/) The YLC is a merit-based scholarship program focused on leadership, community, service and character development. Included is a two-week expedition and monthly service projects in the Bay Area year round.
* Open Enrollment Scholarship (https://www.outwardboundcalifornia.org/planning/scholarships/) : A typical Open Enrollment Scholarship ranges from 10-30% off the tuition cost, and are based on an individual student’s need.
