Algebra 1- Online Imagine Learning (Edgenuity) Welcome Message

Hello Parents/Guardians/¡Hola padres/tutores/親愛的家長/監護人：

You are receiving a copy of the email that was sent to your 8th grade
student to their SFUSD email address today regarding their enrollment in
the Online Algebra 1- Edgenuity course offered by SFUSD. Please review the
email below and check in with your student ensuring that they were able to
log-into their course using their Clever account. Please watch the video as
well that is linked below and review the procedure to have you as
parent/guardian added to their platform. Mentor counselors will be reaching
out to your students this week as well to ensure that they have logged into
the course and begun. All students must be logged in by October 3rd.

Hello!

Hope that your 8th grade school year is off to a great start!

Thank you for registering in the Online Imagine Learning (Edgenuity)
Algebra 1 course offered through SFUSD.  You will be accessing your course
through your SFUSD Clever account. Once you are logged into Clever, you
will see the icon for Imagine Learning Virtual Portal (see picture below)
on your Applications (Apps) dashboard; click the icon to access your
course.

Once you have entered the Imagine Learning Virtual Portal, your screen will
look like this- see below.  The red arrow on the screenshot below shows you
where you can click to start the course.

Your Imagine Learning (Edgenuity) Algebra 1 course will go live on
September 23rd, with an official course start date of October 1st. All
students must log-into the platform NO LATER than October 3rd; students
will be at risk of being dropped from the course if they do not log in by
the start date.

Imagine Learning has created an SFUSD Student Orientation Video

to help you get introduced to the course.  To access the recording, you
will need to enter the passcode: IL2025!!

The video will include: information on course start/end dates, how to
access teacher information and email platform, pacing, course activities
and grading.  It is recommended that you watch the student orientation
recording before getting started with your course.

In addition to the Teacher of Record for your Edgenuity Algebra 1 course,
each student will be assigned a mentor teacher (SFUSD counselor) who will
track and monitor your online progress; they will communicate regularly to
ensure that you are staying on pace with the course.  They will also be in
contact with your Imagine Learning (Edgenuity) Teacher and Parent/Guardian
as needed.

To add your Parent/Guardian to your Imagine Learning Algebra 1 course,
please see the instructions and screenshots below; parents/guardians will
be able to monitor course progress once they have been added.

In your student account:  Click on Add Guardian; your parent/guardian can
add in their  information (see below)

Lastly, all students will have access to On Demand Tutoring, please see
attached flyer for more information.

la familiarización con el curso. Para acceder al video, deberá ingresar la
contraseña: IL2025!! El video incluye información sobre las fechas de
inicio y finalización del curso, cómo acceder a la información del profesor
y a la plataforma de correo electrónico, el ritmo de trabajo, las
actividades y el sistema de evaluación. Se recomienda ver el video de
orientación antes de comenzar el curso.

Además del profesor titular del curso de Álgebra 1 de Edgenuity, cada
estudiante tendrá asignado un tutor (asesor del SFUSD) que supervisará su
progreso en línea. El tutor se comunicará periódicamente para asegurarse de
que el estudiante avance según lo previsto. También se comunicará con el
profesor de Imagine Learning (Edgenuity) y con el padre/tutor cuando sea
necesario.

Para agregar a su padre/tutor al curso de Álgebra 1 de Imagine Learning,
consulte las instrucciones y las capturas de pantalla a continuación. Una
vez agregados, los padres/tutores podrán supervisar el progreso del
estudiante.
