Reverse the Red Day
We are recognizing the annual Reverse the Red Day on Saturday, February 7, a global initiative that highlights conservation success stories. Reverse the Red refers to the International Union for Conservation of Nature's (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species, and how efforts to save and protect species have made a difference.

Among the species you'll find at SF Zoo that has seen a remarkable recovery after near extinction are Mexican gray wolves and Przewalski's horses, thanks to the dedicated work of conservationists and worldwide zoos. In addition, critically endangered species, such as Bali mynah, San Francisco gartersnake, and others are seeing some success through captive-breeding programs.

This Saturday, you can learn more about Reverse the Red by visiting our pop-up conservation table from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lion Fountain.
GOAT Movie Pop-up Table
The movie of the season opens in theaters on Friday, February 13, and we’re there for it! Visit us on Saturday, February 14! We’re hosting some folks from the new GOAT movie who will be giving away merch and schwag at their pop-up table located by the Leaping Lemur Café from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

>From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse and the artists that made KPop Demon Hunters, comes GOAT, an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world. The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that “smalls can ball!”

A Special Valentine's Day Event
https://www.sfzoo.org/woo-at-the-zoo/

Birds do it, bees do it, and as guests will learn during the eye-opening presentation, “Woo at the Zoo,” all animals “do it”! This popular adults-only event will take place on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Zoo’s Osher Great Hall.

Woo at the Zoo focuses on the mating and breeding behavior of animals during a 90-minute, informative and yes, humorous, multimedia presentation and brunch that will include some up-close animal encounters. Contrary to common belief, no animals will “mate on cue” but guests will learn much about how a variety of species mate.

Woo at the Zoo is limited to guests 21 years or older. Tickets are $65 for Zoo Members and $75 for non-members and includes parking and Zoo admission. Advance purchases and reservations for Woo at the Zoo are required.
