Hello again! The book is in the front office now and I've adjusted the plan
to read through page 64 by Thursday. I also forgot to mention that Kai
should take notes in his reading journal or on paper about important things
that happen in the story, as he is reading it. We'll have a class
discussion on Thursday, and finish reading the book by Tuesday, when we
will have a discussion about it again and then start our next graphic novel.

Tomorrow in addition to continuing in our Rights block (which we will
continue talking about different rights movements and leaders and read
through and discuss the bill of rights and all 27 amendments; Kai could
read those online; each will be choosing one to do a project with) we will
also work on edits on the History section of their 8th grade project and
discuss ideas for service projects and an art piece for their 8th grade
project. If Kai isn't here tomorrow, it would be good for him to brainstorm
on these and we can check in on Thursday or Friday. And he can work on the
edits to the History section, which I should have feedback completed on the
document this evening.
