Welcome incoming Freshmen!

Hello Incoming Freshmen, Parents, and Guardians,

My name is Julia Letzel, I am the drama teacher here at Lowell High School.
I am reaching out to you because your name was listed under students who
put drama 1 as their VAPA first or second choice and I want to give you all
a little information.

1. Our fall play auditions will be happening the second week of school. You
will see posters for audition sign-up posted around the campus starting the
first week of school.

2. If drama is something you have been doing for a while. If you have been
in shows before. If you signed up for drama because you want to act and you
want to do scene work then Acting 2 is where you should get started. Acting
1 is a class designed to help non actors be more comfortable with public
speaking through the use of Drama and Improvisation. If you know your stage
directions and what the terms "beat, subtext, given circumstances, ect."
mean in the world of theatre then once again, Acting 2 is a better fit for
you.

If you would like to be placed into acting 2 please email me with your
acting experience and we will see if Acting 2 is the right fit for you.
