### Randall Museum Celebrates 75 Years at Corona Heights

The Randall Museum celebrated 75 years at its Corona Heights home last weekend (https://t.e2ma.net/click/gvle6k/wfcl20hc/k2h78x)
with live animals, art and science activities, outdoor recreation, music, nature exploration and more.

The celebration featured the unveiling of a new permanent exhibit honoring museum founder Josephine D. Randall, San Francisco's first Superintendent of Recreation, as well as a conversation with 99-year-old longtime Rec and Park employee Neil Fahy, who attended the museum's 1951 opening.

Today, the free museum welcomes about 100,000 visitors annually and continues to reach new generations through hands-on classes, its annual Science Fair, the new Toddler Treehouse and Nature Exploration Area, and Randall on the Road programming throughout San Francisco.

Thank you to State Senator Scott Wiener, Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, the Randall Museum Friends, community partners, supporters and volunteers for celebrating this milestone, as well as the decades of museum staff and instructors who have made this place one of San Francisco's most cherished institutions. Plan your next visit at the link below.

Rec and Park, San Francisco Environment Department, Sutro Stewards and Livable City also led a Twin Peaks Bioregion Tour exploring efforts to connect and restore natural landscapes across Twin Peaks, Mount Sutro, Glen Canyon, Laguna Honda and Mount Davidson.

Thank you to the partners and attendees who made this summit possible. Rec and Park looks forward to continuing to advance conservation across San Francisco. Learn more about City efforts at the link below.

### Video of the Week: Mike Krukow's World Series Speech at Civic Center Plaza

Following longtime Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow's retirement after 36 years in the booth, our
Video of the Week (https://t.e2ma.net/click/gvle6k/wfcl20hc/cod88x)
comes from SFGovTV and takes us back to his speech at Civic Center Plaza following the Giants' 2010 World Series victory, a moment that helped define the burgeoning dynasty.

Beginning at the 53:10 mark, Kruk emphasized that fandom helped drive this team to its first championship in San Francisco, and that it was the responsibility of fans to pass down this legacy of joy through baseball, before delivering the iconic line: "We are the Giants! We are San Francisco! And we are world champions!"

Thank you, Kruk, for being the voice of Giants baseball for generations, bringing games into our homes, cars, workplaces and more.

See the San Francisco Giants' tribute highlighting Kruk's career and legacy at the link below.
