2. Maclaren Triumph v. Maclaren Techno

Hi, Does anyone have an opinion on this? The techno is
more expensive. The Triumph seems like it does the
job? But, does anyone have a reason that I should get
one or the other?? Or a different brand
altogether?Thanks!

I don't know about the Triumph, but we did have the
Techno and loved it. But it was a gift, so dunno if we
would have paid for it ourselves! :)Techno is a little
heavy, but works great and fits through aisles in
stores. No cup holders and bottom doesn't hold much
stuff, but it's because it's pretty compact.Susan--- On

I looked at both Maclaren twin strollers and went with
the City Mini Double. The City Mini's wheels are a
little bigger so the ride is smoother. It's easy to
push the City Mini with one hand. The Macs have split
handles so you have to push with both hands. The single
Macs fold up very small, but the doubles are pretty
wide when collapsed. The City Mini Double is 26 lbs,
the Maclaren Twin Triumph is 24 lbs and the Twin Techno
is 27 lbs, so the Macs are about the same
weight.Citikids on Clement should have floor models
that you can see in person. It really helped me to see
them all.

I have to agree with the handle thing. The Techno is
near impossible to push with one hand. You need both
hands free to push it. Susan--- On Tue, 10/4/11,

We have the techno for travel and its great for that
purpose. If this is going to be an everyday stroller
look at the city mini or city select. The maclaren is
heavy and hard to push but very convienent to through
in the car.

Hi! Thank you! We actually already have the city
select - which I love. I didnt realize they were so
close in weight. I was thinking we should get an
umbrella stroller for ease and travel (as they have
just about outgrown the snap and go for travel). Would
you recommend not even getting a maclaren if I already
have a city select? Or do find that you use both?

Definitely get something for travel because the city
select is a pain. I would get the cheaper Maclaren or
even two singles if you will always have someone with
you. There is usually double maclarens on craigslist so
check that out. Our Techno got broken by the airlines
so if I had to do it again, I would not have spent so
much money and would have gotten it used or the cheaper
version.

Hi there, we had to sleep train both our girls, at
different times. I won't lie -- one of them took one
day (not kidding, and boy did we think we had the magic
touch!), and the other one took about six weeks on and
off, with about 10 days-2 weeks of hardcore sleep
training. We did CIO with them at different times, and
at the same time, and it worked beautifully. They are
great sleepers. We get about 12-13 hours a night plus 2
naps a day (they're now almost 10 months). Neither of
them cries at naptime or bedtime (knocking wood here)
except on very rare occasions. We never separated them.
They will wake one another up more as they get older,
but we never found it to be a problem. If one was
screaming and the other woke up she would generally get
herself back to sleep. I have read in my favorite sleep
book (Good Night, Sleep Tight: The Sleep Lady's Guide)
that some people need to separate their babies for
sleep training. Maybe you could move one crib into your
room and leave the better-sleeping twin in the nursery
for example if you find that they're interfering with
one another. As much as you can -- and I know it's hard
to do -- try not to fret about something that's not an
issue for you yet. You may be able to easily sleep
train them both in the same room in a small amount of
time. Don't keep yourself up at night worrying if you
can help it. Save your energy for other things! And
good luck! CIO sucks but it's worth it.
