amykronk - 12/7/2011 9:38 pm
In case you have not heard Peekadoodle (located at
Ghiradelli Square) is expanding to a licensed preschool
for next fall 2012. If you are currently looking for a
preschool or are interested in info please sign up on
the interest list mentioned below. They are currently
finalizing details for next year. Thanks!
Amy---------------------------Peekadoodle Academy -
www.peekadoodleacademy.comThe overwhelmingly positive
response to our Peekadoodle Prep program, and the
demand for quality preschool education in San
Francisco, has encouraged us to launch a fully licensed
preschool. Peekadoodle Academy will foster independent
and creative thinking through guided exploration and
play-based activities. The preschool will focus its
curriculum on the whole child - cognitive,
social/emotional, and physical development. We will
continue to use developmentally appropriate practices
that promote child-guided, active exploration of
meaningful questions and "wonderings" about their
world. We sincerely value being part of your child's
educational journey, and hope to fill your need during
the next phase - preschool! We would like to offer you
an opportunity to express interest in becoming part of
the Peekadoodle Preschool Academy community! If you
would be interested in learning more about Peekadoodle
Academy, please visit http://www.peekadoodleacademy.com
to sign up for our interest list. This will ensure that
you receive important & exciting updates regarding the
build out of our outdoor space, tour dates, and the
application process!

3. Huggies Pull Up - Learning Design - Cars

This may sound silly, but can anyone tell me how to
tell the size of a Huggies Pull Up? My sons use
different sizes of the Cars Learning Design, and for
the life of me, I can't tell the difference from the
design, and frequently put the smaller size on the
bigger boy and vice versa!

5. When did your babies outgrow their swings and how did you
manage?
--------------------------------------------------------
nodelmonkey - 12/7/2011 10:39 am
My nearly 7 month old twin girls are still very used to
napping in their swings. When we are at home, I try to
start their naps in their cribs but when they awake
halfway through, I transfer them to the swings to
finish napping. We've been doing this successfully for
quite some time, however, I feel the end of swing
napping is near. They are not as content to just fall
asleep in their swings and want much more
pacifying/handholding than they did before. I'm
finding it difficult to get started on any task
(including pumping) I'm having to go to them so much.
Wondering if any of you went through this and how you
managed? I'm trying to give them time to cry/scream it
out but they seem to work themselves up into hysterics
if I leave them for too long and they haven't fallen
back asleep. I believe I should start experimenting
just leaving them in their cribs for the full nap but
I'm not sure how to best get over the hurdle I've
created for myself. How long were/are your 7 month
olds napping for and how many times a day? I know
every baby is different but just trying to get a good
gauge. They are fairly good about falling asleep in
car seats/stroller when we're out and about but I need
them to be able to nap at home well too. We're also
have a tough time getting them to fall asleep in the
evenings as well which is a new thing, after being
sleep trained since 4 months of age. Thanks for any
advise/inspiration you can offer!

Hi Lisa,So sorry that happened. It was our playgroup,
Jan-June 2011, that was meeting there. It has fizzled
a bit as we try to come up with other ideas/places. It
was getting tough now that our kids are less
sleepy/wanting to move/crawl/walk and are in general
not as cool with sitting in the stroller for a long
periods of time (and it was hard to coordinate naps).
I think your playgroup may have also started an FB page
and they were working on getting some walks and
meet-ups together. I think this is their link and you
just have to ask to join:
http://www.facebook.com/groups/266588403383816/If that
doesnt work, let me know. Lisa
