1. Feedback on masgutova method

Do any of you have any experience with Masgutova
Method? We are considering this method to treat minor
sensory integration issues in our 1 year old twins. We
can't decide whether to go with the traditional
approach (waiting list for Child Development Center at
CPMC) which is covered by insurance vs private sessions
using Msgutova Method which would end up being a lot
more costly. Anyone from this group used Masgutova
Meothod?

My oldest (singleton) did both at the same time and
they complemented each other very well. He's been doing
weekly OT at CPMC since September and was doing 2x a
week of Masgutova Method until last month. We're
currently taking a break from Masgutova to focus on
some other therapies, but plan on picking it up
again. You can save money by getting trained in the
Masgutova technique yourself. Our practitioner,
Boutania Rosen, teaches intensive training sessions.

3. Infant Tylenol Recall
--------------------------------------------------------
sharono - 2/19/2012 12:28 pm
I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but there's
been a recall on Infant Tylenol due to an "overdosing
system flaw".I've posted the article below. I
apologize if it doesn't format properly. If you're
having trouble reading it, just do an internet search
and it will come up.FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Feb. 17 (UPI)
-- More than 500,000 bottles of infant Tylenol are
being recalled in the United States because of reported
problems with the dosing system. The McNeil Consumer
Healthcare division of Johnson & Johnson said the
recall is voluntary and being carried out with the
knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The
product involved is grape-flavor Infants' Tylenol Oral
Suspension, 1 ounce. It is sold over-the-counter
throughout the United States and is used for relief of
pain and fever. About 574,000 bottles are subject to
the recall. McNeil said some parents reported problems
using the SimpleMeasure dosing system, which involves a
syringe with a protective cover or flow restrictor
designed to ensure a baby receives the proper dose. In
those cases, the syringe was pushed into the bottle.
Caregivers can continue to use Infants' Tylenol as long
as the flow restrictor remains in place, McNeil said.
MORE INFORMATION: FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Feb. 17, 2012
/PRNewswire/ -- McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of
McNEIL-PPC, Inc. ("McNeil"), is voluntarily recalling,
at the wholesale and retail levels, seven lots,
approximately 574,000 bottles, of Infants' TYLENOL®
Oral Suspension, 1 oz. Grape distributed nationwide in
the United States (see full product list below).
Infants' TYLENOL® is an over-the-counter (OTC) product
indicated as a pain reliever/fever reducer. McNeil is
initiating this voluntary recall as a precaution after
receiving a small number of complaints from consumers
who reported difficulty using the Infants' TYLENOL®
SimpleMeasure™ dosing system. SimpleMeasure™
includes a dosing syringe, which a parent or caregiver
inserts into a protective cover, or "flow restrictor,"
at the top of the bottle to measure the proper dose.
In some cases, the flow restrictor was pushed into the
bottle when inserting the syringe. Children's
TYLENOL® products are intended for children two years
of age and older and remain available. No adverse
events associated with this action have been reported
to date and the risk of a serious adverse medical event
is remote. Consumers can continue to use Infants'
TYLENOL® provided the flow restrictor at the top of
the bottle remains in place. The company discussed how
to use the product's dosing system in a separate
message to consumers also issued today. If the flow
restrictor is pushed into the bottle, the parent or
caregiver should not use the product. Consumers can
request a refund by visiting www.tylenol.com or
contacting McNeil at 1-888-222-6036 (Monday-Friday 8
a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time; Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. to
5 p.m. Eastern Time). Parents and caregivers with any
health questions or concerns should contact their
healthcare provider and visit www.tylenol.com for
additional information. FULL RECALLED PRODUCT LIST:

Hi Sarah,Congratulations! My story is similar to
Jennie's and my mono-di girls are only 4 months old. I
also had a scheduled c-section at 36 weeks and went to
SF Perinatal and saw Dr. Sandburg, who specializes in
twins. He told me the current research shows a higher
rate of stillborns in identicals after 36 weeks, and he
also recommended a scheduled c as did my OB. Both girls
were positioned head down at my last ultrasound and
were doing well, but the recommendation didn't change.
Both girls did not spend any time in the NICU and were
born at 5 lbs 6 oz and 5 lbs 2 oz at CPMC. Initially I
expected to carry them for 38 weeks and attempt a
vaginal birth, so was disappointed about a planned
c-section at a month early, but I wanted to follow the
strong recommendation of the perinatalogist.Good luck
and feel free to contact me with any questions.AnneMom

We have a three year old daughter. We said that if our
second was a girl, we might consider trying for a boy.
Surprise! The second was twins! I just knew that it was
one of each so at 20 weeks when we found out they were
both girls, I was disappointed. Actually I was only
slightly disappointed but my husband was downright
bummed and that made me very angry. Fast forward to
now- our twins are almost 8 months- and my husband and
I are thrilled with our girls. I actually overheard him
telling someone how much he loved fathering little
girls. We feel complete. You will see when they are
here- you would never want to trade them for someone
else. Best of luck to your new family!!
