Hi everyone. Our 3 yo boy/ girl twins are transitioning
to full time preschool in April, and our wonderful full
time nanny will be available at that time. Cindy is as
close to a modern day "Mary Poppins" as you will find:
she brings our children to different playgrounds every
day, brings art projects, special books to share with
them, and brings them to the library weekly. Our
children have a love of books, music and art which we
attribute directly to her influence. She is firm, yet
genuine/ fun loving with the children, and has prior
twin experience with several other families. She is a
gem, and we are sad to be moving on. If you are looking

Our 3 yo boy/ girl twins are transitioning to full time
preschool and we are looking for some part time nanny
help with some pick up / drop offs (so some early am
(7:30 - 9) and late afternoon/ early evening hours
(4:30 - 6:30). We live in the Sunset / preschool in the
SOMA area so ideally somebody local to one of these
neighborhoods. Required:- Prior experience with twins/
or caring for multiple children and caring for
toddlers- Safe car/ clean driving recordExcellent
references. If you know of somebody who would be a good

My husband and I are seriously considering embryo
donation.Does anyone have any experience with this or
know someone who has? We were referred to the site
Miracles Waiting.We have 10 embryos in storage. We
struggled to get pregnant and feel strange about
destroying them when there are so many couples
desperately wanting children.

Hi--Trying this posting again. We are reorganizing
after a move and have the following free to a good home
(if you can pick up in Glen Park by Friday night):1.
Ikea brushed dark slate blue felt butterfly-like chair
with stainless steel legs. It's been in our daughter's
room and is in good shape.2. P'Kolino click birch
toddler desk with a red chair and pink cushion. It's a
modern cute toddler desk with a small footprint and it
is definitely loved (stickers, some markers) but has
another kid or two in it for sure and the good news is
if it's already marked up you won't stress when your
kid marks it up too. :) It's actually pretty
gender-neutral; our son has had it in his room for

Hello,My daughter will be 2.5 when my twins arrive this
summer. My daughter is currently in the care of a nanny
(I work full time). She'll be starting preschool in the
fall as well and going three days a week in the
mornings.I am trying to figure out the best childcare
arrangement for all three kids. If you have a similar
situation, what do you do?FYI, we will have a 24-hour
nurse for the first two months after the babies are
born, so I'm really trying to consider after that and
after I go back to work.Also, we really want to keep
our current nanny on full-time. She has been great and
my daughter loves her. I think having her around will
help with the transition. She has to be full-time
though.Here are the options I have thought of so far:1)
Full-time nanny takes care of all three kids.She would
have to pick up my daughter from preschool most of the
time. Preschool can be flexible in pick up time.Pros:
cheaper than hiring an additional caregiver. Older
daughter gets to spend time with new babies.Cons: May
be difficult for nanny to manage toddler and two
infants alone. I worry about the new babies nap
schedules and my toddler being confined to the house
because the babies are sleeping (we sleep trained older
daughter and intend to sleep train the new ones).
Picking up daughter from preschool might be difficult
for nanny due to babies' schedule.2) Full-time nanny
plus part time nannyOur full-time nanny would have the
three kids a lot of the time, but I could hire someone
to come to the house to be with the twins while my
nanny pics up the older one from preschool, so three
days a week. Maybe that person could stay for some
afternoons so my nanny could take my daughter out and
about those days?Pros: Makes it easier for regular
nanny to pick up toddler and get toddler out of the
house.Cons: More expensive.3) Mother's Helper for
eveningsWith either option 1 or 2 above, I am
considering hiring a mother's helper for evenings from
when I get home/my nanny gets off (6:30) until around
8:30 pm. I do not know how much a mother's helper
costs, but I just thought it might be helpful to have
another set of hands (I am usually alone at that
time).Pros: Just helpful while the twins are young I
think.Cons: My husband might think the expense is
unnecessary. :)4) Full-Time Nanny plus Au PairPart of
me thinks this is overkill, but I am considering it
because Au Pair's seem to be much less expensive than a
regular nanny, so financially it could make sense.I
would have my regular full-time nanny on duty during
her normal hours (8-6:30) and then use the au pair to
fill in while my nanny picks up the older one from
preschool, or if they go out on outings, in the
evenings (instead of a Mother's Helper) and maybe a few
date nights on the weekends.Pros: Flexibility of work
times with the second caregiver. Can provide coverage
at various times during the day.Cons: Someone living
with us (we'd have to give up our office). Expense of
hosting someone. Expense of second caregiver (although
cheaper than another nanny maybe?)Just wondering if
anyone out there has considered these options and how
your final selection worked out for you. Or are there
other options I am not considering?Thanks.

Hello - we work with Lara Martinez (SF Kids Speech) -
for one of our 2.5 year old boys. She's super great and
I highly recommend her.We got signed up with her
through Golden Gate Regional Center -- which Levon is a
part of - due to global delays .. and need for
Occupational and Physical Therapy as well.Here is

To see your tent mail use the drop-down menu on the top
left - where it says big tent, my groups, my calendar -
under "big tent" in the drop down menu choose Tent
Mail. This is a way to send someone a private note
instead of posting it in the thread. Tent mail me back
