Hi,I need to wash my minivan and would love to take the
kids with me and go on one of those tunnels where you
see from the inside how the car is being washed by the
big scrubbers. Is there such a thing here in the city?
I remember doing this with my parents when I was a kid
and I LOVED it...thanks!

Divisadero Car Wash at Divis and Fell will let you do
it. You get out first so they can vacuum out the car.
Then, right before it goes through the "scrubbers",
they'll let you get back in.

5. Consignment Sale Next Saturday!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------
badenm - 3/25/2012 2:00 pm
Hi all,Just a reminder that the consignment sale is
next weekend. If you need anything, you'll find it
here! 5 tips for shopping the sale: -Make a list of
what you need before you go! -Great place to get a few
gently used newborn gear, toys, puzzles and books and
an awesome time to stock up on clothes for a few sizes
up (since these kids keep growing!!) -Take it slow and
look at each table -If there is a "big" item you want
such as a stroller or tricycle, get there early and go
directly to the big item section to get what you need
-Take the time to get to know the other club members!
They're a great resource for many things and could
become some of your best friends. And enjoy the bagels
and coffee provided by the club.If you want to sell (my
favorite part is cleaning out my house!) there's still
time. Go to
http://www.sfpom.org/consignmentsale/index.htmland fill
out the form or e-mail
consignmentsale@sfpom.org.Details:9-11am (SFPOM members
only)11am-1pm (open to public)Saturday, March 31stSt.
Mary's Cathedral1111 Gough St. at Geary Blvd. And the
very best part is that we don't need volunteers!Have a
great Sunday,Michelle

I have Kaiser, and my doctor mentioned going to reduced
hours at 24 weeks, and full leave at 26 weeks. I am an
elementary teacher, so I am on my feet all day, plus I
have a demanding toddler. My school year is over when
I am 27 weeks, so I would not be leaving work much
earlier than if I finished out the school year. If I
am feeling great though, I will probably stay full
time. Congratulations and good luck!

I was fulltime and was very lucky to be able to work up
until 35 weeks, then from home a few hours a day for
the next 4 weeks. I'm a librarian, so am up and down
all day. I went almost 39 weeks before my scheduled
c-section. Good luck and congrats to you!Susan--- On

I'm at 34 weeks with monochorionic twins and still
working (also an hour commute). The last two weeks
have been really tiring (was largely fine until then)
and I find myself working on my laptop from a couch in
my office fairly frequently and declining meetings that
are all the way across our (very large) campus :). I
am going into the office twice this coming week,
working from home the other three days, then officially
on disability at 35 weeks. My doctor is surprised I've
made it this long without bed rest, so I wouldn't count
on being in the office this long, but, honestly, I've
enjoyed the distraction and interaction with others
thus far.Of note, I have a scheduled c-section at 36
weeks, 3 days (apparently now considered standard of
care for monochorionic twins). I had my Dr. put that
on my disability forms and that became my "due date" so
I'll technically go out within the 4 week window. Not
sure if that's an option for you...Good luck!

I only made it to 24 weeks. I work in the medical field
with a stressful and demanding job. I also had a lot of
complications and spent a month in the hospital. If you
are in a position where you feel good and can keep
working than I say do it. The time off work after the
babies arrive is way more important. Thankfully, I had
a ton of time saved and managed to stay out fully paid
for a year!
