Well done to everyone who braved the rain on Saturday

     attended the sale.Enjoy your loot,Sebastian

Night nurse, birth doulaWe are expecting twins for the
end of July. We are thinking to hire a birth doula (if
she can speak or understand French it would be great !)
Do you have any advice? Also we want to hire a night
nurse or night doula. (no need to speak French )What is
the difference exactly between a night nurse and a
night doula? How much do they cost? Do you have any
recommendation for a great night nurse for twins?Thank

          Check Natural Resources
          http://www.naturalresources-sf.com/index.html - they
have something like "meet the doulas" event where you
can chat with doulas and see who has what experiences
and matches your needs the best and (!) has openings.
We went to the event but unfortunately decided to go
with someone off Yelp instead (was more affordable) and
it wasn't good. Natural Resources seems to invite

7. Announcing: RESCHEDULE: Your Children are Listening: Nine
Messages They Need to Hear From You
--------------------------------------------------------
twinpeakstwins - 4/2/2012 9:19 am

Presented by Dr. Jim TaylorBased on his most recent
parenting book of the same name, this workshop focuses
on the essential that early messages from parents has
on children's development. Dr. Taylor explores why
messages are important, how messages are conveyed, and
what "message blockers" prevent messages from parents
from getting through to children. He will then describe
nine messages that children absolutely must get to
ensure that they develop into value-driven, happy,
successful, contributing people. Dr. Taylor places
special emphasis on practical strategies, such as
catchphrases, rituals and routines, and activities,

congratulations! i agree about dr. luke.  wanted to
also pass the following along.  i delivered the babies
in hospital, but also hired a midwife for additional
pre-natal care (and to act as a doula during delivery).
she helped me with diet/protein a lot, which I think
helped me to carry the girls to 39 weeks.  She had me
drink a three litres of water a day.  I also took the
most amazing prenatal vitamins during my pregnancy -
          they're all plant based -

     http://www.drugstore.com/super-nutrition-prenatal-blend-2-tablets/qxp326649.
I took them every night before bed with a greek
yogurt, milk and whey protein smoothie to get a huge
protein punch.  The vitamins never upset my stomach
taking them this way.  This whey protein tasted the

if your blood pressure starts to creep up, you can take
passion flower tincture at will for as long as
necessary.  and, i also cut out apple juice - i love it
          - to avoid gestational diabetes.i went swimming as much
as possible - several times/week.  near the end it
helped me to feel human!if you have any questions, i'd
be happy to talk more. best, jen
