As many of you probably know, strollers on muni must be
collapsed. Meaning if you are one parent, taking out
your two (or more) babies, you are not welcome on muni,
since it's practically impossible to hold two babies
and a collapsed stroller (not to mention a diaper bag
and anything else you might have). I wrote a letter
expressing my feelings about this family unfriendly
policy to my city Supervisor, Sean Elsbernd, and in
response he and David Chiu proposed new legislation
urging Muni to reconsider or lift this restriction. I
know most of us drive, and babies and a stroller on
muni sounds like a potential nightmare, but I strongly
believe that muni should at least be an option for
families of multiples. I encourage anyone who has
feelings about this issue to contact your supervisor
and/or muni (I sent the same letter to both). Maybe
with enough people voicing concern, we'll actually make
