Has anyone ever signed up a child less than 2 years old
to a foreign language camp (any language)? It seems
like the minimum age is 3 years old. Thanks!

My 15 month old twin who has never been sick has
vomited 5 times today (of course, the first time was 8
oz of curdled milk that landed all over his
brother!)Ped says it could be an intestinal virus going
around in which vomiting lasts for a day and then
diarrhea for 3 days. Have any of your LOs gotten this?
How bad was it? What did you feed them? He does not
have a fever and, while not listless, he is fairly
subdued today. Blech! This is what I get for responding
yesterday to the mom whose daughter licks everything
that my kids lick all sorts of things and they *never*
get sick. HA! Famous last words! ;-)

My kids are 5. My son got it 2 weeks ago. He had
uncontrolled diarrhea for 5 days, literally
uncontrolled. No fever. By the 5th day, our daughter
got it. But she had it with uncontrolled vomiting for 3
days. No fever. After about 7 days EACH (so 2 straight
weeks), we've finally pulled out of it. Dr. says
there's a LOT of stomach flu right now. Keep them as
hydrated as possible. Even one spoon of water,
pedialite or whatever they will drink at a time.
Popsicles are great. Good luck. It's awful!Susan--- On

6. Anybody having twins in August/September?
--------------------------------------------------------
sfteach - 6/18/2012 2:58 pm
Hi Moms,I have a 2.5 year old daughter, and I am
expecting twin boys at the end of August. I would love
to start meeting up with other pregnant twin mommas,
and then continue to meet up once the babies arrive. I
live in the USF/Panhandle neighborhood, but could get
together in different parts of the city during the day,
while my daughter is in childcare. --Adrienne

I'm Jessica, also expecting twin boys (but in
mid-July). We live in the Lower Haight so not too far
from you. I'm off work starting Wednesday and was
planning to go to the new/expectant parent's group on
June 26th-- maybe I'll see you there?

Hi Jessica and Kerry! Email me at
adriennefolan@gmail.com, and we can figure out a date
to meet up. Jessica, I have been to a few SFPOM
meetings at Day One, but I'm not sure I'll be able to
go next Tuesday. If any other pregnant moms see this
post, and are interested in meeting up, feel free to
email me. Hope to meet you guys soon!

Our boys (18 mos) also refuse slices but they love to
share apples with us at the same time (i.e., we take a
bite, and then they take bites). We usually feed them
apples this way when we're out and about at a
playground or somewhere during snack times. Good luck!

In addition to the suggestions above: went to this
random playground for the first time this weekend --
it's fully enclosed all around (not even any bushes to
squeeze through) and one of the structures is
perfect-sized for this age:
http://www.ggmg.org/Playgrounds/presidio_amatury.html.
It was also deserted when we were there (it's a bit out
of the way).Sometimes we take our boys to the Japantown
mall when we're looking for a quick & free indoor area
for walking around in SF.Have also heard great things
about the aquarium level at Cal Academy (there's a tot
room there) -- haven't taken the boys there yet b/c not
up for facing the crowds on weekends. :)
