1. Air travel question
--------------------------------------------------------
amywink - 7/26/2012 7:03 pm
I know this topic comes up a lot, so I'll try to be
specific. We are flying to Chicago next month to see
family, and our girls are 4 months old. We have the
option of either bringing the carseats in the SNG thru
the airport, or using just carriers and my parents
having carseats for us in Chicago. We are flying
United (if anyone has recent experience or pointers),
and were told we can gate check carseats and SNG if we
bring them. Which do you think is easier? I'm leaning
toward SNG/carseats but wanted a consensus. Any other
advice is welcome as well! Thanks :-)Amy

I would bring the carseats and sng and gate check them.
I haven't done this specifically, but I think you will
be better off having the option of somewhere to put the
babies down, to go to the bathroom or whatnot. Babies
get heavy! And if you should get delayed it would be
nice to have the option of them sleeping there. Even
if you keep them in the carrier most of the time you
can use the sng as a cart for your carry-ons :)

3. Job Hunting Help

rensel - 7/26/2012 12:14 pm
Hello all... I hope this topic is ok to post here. I'm
reaching out for help in the form of employment
opportunities. I have 5 month old twin boys and while
the time away from work and school to focus on the
babies has been lovely we need a way to financially
support our family. We found ourselves unexpectedly
expecting while finishing up with school. I was working
on a post-master degree in art therapy psychology (my
background is in educational counseling). Hansel was
finishing up an industrial design degree as well. Long
story short he finished his and I have 1 class
remaining and bottom line, we both need jobs! There are
so many different people in this group belonging to
different professions as such I reach out to you. We're
both eager to work and get our lives started and are
having a difficult time finding anything. We've
survived the first 5 months with twin boys and two dogs
which means we're great at multi-tasking and working
under pressure. If you're looking for one or two
dedicated people to add to your team or know someone
who is, please contact us. Happy to work anywhere in
the bay area. Renee - reneebond@gmail.com Counselor,
art therapy, works well with others, communication,
administrative Hansel - hansel05@gmail.com Industrial
design, emphasis in automative design, tech savvyThanks
for your time and consideration! :)

4. Pediatrician in the City

We are looking for a good pediatrician in the City. We
currently use UCSF but an ordinary checkup for our
twins takes 2-3 hours, which isn't practical with twins
and our schedules. Can someone please provide any
referrals? Thanks in advance.

We love all the doctors at SF Bay Pediatrics, Our
doctor Heidi Moore is out until Nov on maternity leave
with her own twins. Michelle Pepitone is our second
favorite. They also have free parking, almost always on
time and the front office staffis great.I have also
heard great things about Golden Gate Pediatrics.

I loved UC mt Zion but we had the same problem. We have
dual insurance and actually changed to Kaiser. We have
been so happy!! If I had to stay in private practice, I
would check out Noah Simon or the UCSF practice in
laurel village by day one.
