1. Pupps treatment?

bhavna12 - 8/19/2012 9:52 pm
Hello:I'm reposting this since I misspelled the subject
in the last post and might have been misleading. I'm
in week 35 of my pregnancy. This past week I'm
experiencing PUPPS which is a rash that happens on the
arms and legs and it seems to be common during twin
pregnancy based on my OBGYN. I have them all over my
arms and legs. Has anybody experienced this and have
any treatment suggestions? I've been taking Benadryl
and applying cortisone cream with not much relief.
Every week is a new adventure. I'm counting the days
now. Thank you so much.

Apple cider vinegar applied topically is generally good
for rashes. HTH.

Hello, I wanted to see if anyone had a nanny that
needed some extra work on the weekends. I need a
babysitter for the evening of SAT Aug 25th. It will be
at 7:30 and the kids will be in bed by 8pm so easy
work.If you can e-mail with their name and number and
how much they are asking per hour that would be great!

It sounds like you need a mother's helper, not a nanny.
The rate will be lower - i had a student help me with
my twins. I found her through this board - she was a
former au pair for another family and looking for
occasional gigs. Post in the caregiver forum, also like
pp recommended, try care.com, Craigslist and ask
around. Good luck - twins are a lot of work!Jenia On

We love our accountant of eight years, Richard
Eckersdorff. He started his own firm a few years ago.
MHR CPAhttp://mhr-cpa.com/contact/He has really helped
us file complex returns for our business and personal
tax liabilities. He gives great advice, and prepares
our taxes two ways to see which one benefits us more.
One of our old google friends recommended him like
this: " His advice paid for my Ferrari". We don't have
a Ferrari yet, but we didn't think we could go wrong.
We recently set up some 529 NY Savings Plans for the
girls and some ROTH IRAs that they will benefit from.
By the time they are starting college, my husband will
be able to withdraw funds penalty free for them.He is
in Marin, so we always have a celebratory lunch at
Buckeye Roadhouse after the returns are done.

we just had one boppy lounger as well as the normal
boppy pillows. we found the lounger to be really useful
for sitting our baby with reflux a bit more upright in
the crib (we didn't have space for the bouncer chairs
in the nursery). They aren't as comfortable being laid
in the regular boppy pillows especially when they are
really small

We had boppys, bjorn babysitters, exersaucers, bumbos
and many other contraptions where we placed our three
children when they were little, but I've been reading
about RIE lately and rethinking the whole "propping" up
idea.Check out Janet Lansbury's blog for a good
introduction to RIE. Great stuff mostly targeting
infants & toddlers but no matter the age the philosophy
is the same- don't entertain your babies, don't prop
them up- trust their bodies and let them figure it out
for themselves. Get rid of the mobile and other
stimulating toys and you'll raise a child that is never
bored and never needs TV. With multiples this
philosophy is particularly
empowering.https://www.facebook.com/janetlansburyElevatingChildCare

I use them for tandem breastfeeding. I find it a
convenient place to put one baby while I put the other
baby on the pillow in a football hold and climb onto
the bed. Then I pick up the baby from the lounger and
put her on the other side. Plus I like having pillows
underneath the sides of the Brest friend to kind of
hold it up - a lot more comfortable for me. Otherwise i
find them useful for putting babies in for a few
minutes, but agree that time flat on the back or tummy
time is best for development.

We had 2 boppy pillows but not the chairs. The pillows
were essential for the first 8 months or so. We used
them for feeding, as positioners/proppers when the
babies were little and then once they were bigger they
were great to help them sit up. You can probably find
them used and then just get new covers.

It is hard to predict what you will find helpful - I've
found this whole experience is a lot of trial and
error! But I agree with them being really helpful for
tandem breastfeeding when you don't have an assistant.
I'm finished with mine if you'd like to buy them I'll
give you a good deal. They are in good shape and the
covers are removable and washable. I have two of the
Leachco brand: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003HIXOTQ
