1. When did your twins get on the same schedule?
--------------------------------------------------------
eeewww - 8/25/2012 12:46 am
Everyone says to keep twins on the same eating and
sleeping schedule. We try, but it is difficult. My
twins are 7 weeks old. One was 4 lbs 9 oz at birth and
the other was 5 lbs 14 oz. The littler one has reflux
and eats very slowly and more often. The bigger one can
down a 5 oz bottle in 20 minutes. Both are gaining
weight just fine (although the bigger one more
rapidly). Both are healthy. But the little one is just
so slow at eating and sometimes doesn't finish and then
wants more before it is time. It seems like every day
they get off schedule. Is it just too early?Their
sleeping is also way off. They sleep at totally
different times.I am kind of hoping that once the
little one gets a bit stronger and her system gets more
developed, she'll catch up and they will both be able
to go longer stretches and eat efficiently.Any advice?

2. Mandarin Play and Learn class
--------------------------------------------------------
jcloh88 - 8/24/2012 9:51 pm
For anyone interested in a Mandarin immersion class for
kids age 2.5 to 4, there are currently openings for the
Sunday class at Mei Jia Chinese Learning Center
(http://www.meijiachinese.com). This class is designed
for children to learn Mandarin through a play based
approach. No prior knowledge of Mandarin is required or
expected. The class is 1 hour and 45 minutes weekly.
For the month of September, the school is offering a
free trial class for kids ages 2.5 to 5 on Thursdays.
Information about the school and the free class are
here: http://www.meijiachinese.comFor more information,
you may contact head teacher and director Jia Rao at
chineseteacher_julia@yahoo.com.(I'm hoping to start my
33 month old twins in the Sunday class and she needs 2
more students to start this class for total of 6
kids)Joanie

We are also in a provisional Sunday class - wow, we
will have 2 sets of twins! :)Jia is wonderful - we took
private lessons (or rather play-lessons) from her in
the summer and were hoping for more little buddies in
the Fall!

I have 2 friends with singletons that take their
children to dr. Simmons. 1 - loves him (daughter is
almost 2)2 - likes him, good with kids, but thinks he
doesn't make eye contact, is very interested in
tech/gadgets so that seems to take focus when
communicating with him. He is also across the street
from her obgyn so thought it woul be convenient.
(daughter is 3.5 months)Hope this helps!

We go to Dr. Simmons and love him. I really appreciate
that he calls you directly and quickly when you have a
question. We've had plenty of calls with him about our
babies not pooping, and he's always been there to
answer our first-time parents questions without
hesitation. We have 3 month old twins.
