1. Sample nanny contract?

We are talking with nannies for full time help for at
least a year and wanted to know if anybody had a sample
contract that we can use as a guide to create one to
give to a potential hire.

We were gifted born free bottles and the box says its
for gas, colic etc. we didn't end up using them much
because we use think baby (he sucks fast so the cross
cut nipple helps slow him down) for one and dr browns
(she drinks slowly and this helps get her milk faster)
for the other.

When we naturally waited for them to wake up, our girl
would always wake up later than our boy to eat. We were
never told NOT to keep them on a feeding schedule, and
so they have always been on a schedule (and still are
at 5mo.). In the beginning, our girl would not drink
all her milk during her feeding, so with the advice our
our night nurse, we made her wait until the next
feeding to eat. They learn fast to drink all their milk
at their feeding, and after a few feelings, she'd drink
it all up! Good luck. Not sure why the pediatrician
recommended taking them off schedule. I've seen our
twins respond well to it, and it's provided sanity for
us too. Good luck!

I've been kind of offline lately and wanted to chime in
on this and another string in which someone was trying
to deal with feeding both children (as close to at the
same time as they could), putting them in for nap etc.
alone. I haven't been able to read all of the emails,
but we used this feeding system called the podee
bottles (hopefully this late email is not redundant of
another one?) I'm not positive at what month we
started with these, but they were a total lifesaver!
We used the Dr Brown's glass bottels (there were no BPA
free bottles that I could find at the time) and screwed
this podee system onto those. There's a long tube that
goes into the bottle and then extends out of the top
and connects to a nipple that sits on a plastic ring.
It's a LOT to clean up from, but it was amazingly worth
it for us. We could put the nipples in the boys mouths
and they would just drink away at the same time. No
more carpal tunnel from double bottles, etc. It didn't
take them long to catch on either. We'd prop the boys
up in their carseats to feed them when they were really
young and just prop up a bottle in there with them.
Very little gas issue after we started with them too.
Feeding them sitting up like that is very good for a
number of reasons, it can help ear infections down,
stomach gas down, etc. So with a fussy or colicky
baby, it might help? Just found them on Amazon, I see
that they are BPA free now but people said they leak
and they used Dr Browns bottles instead. It's totally
worth it!!! Best wishes!
