and he's great. We are considering an addition, as
well, and I have been so happy with his guidance and
diligence so far.

Depending on the extent of the work you envision, you
may not need an actual architect... I know a great
"design & build" contractor who's fabulous at that sort
of thing, who might be worth talking to. Here's his

I breastfed my twins for a full year - the last day was
on their first birthday! It was an incredible
experience and I wouldn't have done it differently. I
went back to work when they were 7 weeks old and
diligently pumped while I was away from them so that
they could be fed bottles of breastmilk in my absence.
The double breastfeeding pillow is a great
investment.Good luck!Dr. Karen Horton - Mom to

PS. my comment to the 6 month refereed if you were to
exclusively pumping, as in my experience, if I were
able to breast feed like many mom in the following
comments I would have gone to one year. What I am
looking is practicality since I exclusively pump I have
to see what are the actual benefits since there not the
bonding of the breast. Until 6 month is really
important to give them all the antibodies that they
need, no matter how much you produce anything is good,
this is what the pediatrician said. However past the 6
months I have to weight the actual benefits versus the
downside. In my experience I get to sleep less because
I wake up at 4 to pump for the morning feed, and I try
to pump again before going to work so I get to miss
sometimes even the beautiful wake up smiles because I
am pumping. Also during the week ends I spend less
time with them to pump, I need to have dad play with
them or try to wait until they both nap, it takes me
good 40 min pumping, and I am still renting the
hospital grade Medela at home ( at work I have
another). I personally feel that this precious time I
could be spent playing more with them, sleep more and
be more happy and less stressed since the milk is not
so critical anymore and I think my time with them is.
Again if I were lucky to have them on the breast this
would not be the case. this is just my experience

Hi Rosisu:Thanks so much! We've been afraid to take off
the swaddle but your post has given us the courage to
try. He's sleeping right now with one arm out, we
decided to try that and he seems more comfortable. We
will try no swaddle tomorrow. Any other things we
should be concerned about when we unswaddle?
