Just an FYI to all our busy and sleep-deprived members
-- jot this down: THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH. For at
least the rest of this calendar year, our various
"Nights Out" will be held on the 3rd Thursday of each
month (Moms'/Dads'/Parents' Nights Out.) We hope this
will help you plan ahead, line up babysitters, etc. so
that you can take advantage of this GREAT member
benefit: the first round of drinks and appetizers are
on the Club! All Nights Out have been added to the
events calendar on our website, and each will be
updated with locations/exact times as we have them. We
hope this will make it easier for YOU to attend! (&
final FYI: next one is the Dads' Night Out NEXT WEEK
(Thursday, Feb. 21st - Rock Bar. Kindly rsvp via the
events tab.)

I have a Tripp Trapp for my first, which is great for
family meals, but it makes a huge mess of my dining
room, so we ended up using our $20 travel booster with
a tray almost exclusively. I'm planning on strapping
my twins into kitchen stools with something like this
to save floor space. (Plus you can take these with you
when you go to friends or out of town, which you'll
also likely
need)http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11981516http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12704381

the fisher price space savers - the ones that fully
tilt/recline (there are a couple of models). you can
use them on the floor (without the tray) like bouncy
seats, you can strap them to a dining room chair, you
can throw them in the car for thanksgiving. i started
using them tilted back early on with bottles. now (at
19 months) the girls sit with us in them at the table
with/without out the tray (without they double as
booster seats). very versatile and the trays go in the
dishwasher (though they're big and just barely fit in
ours).

dark horse highchair once the kids are older at the
table is the very inexpensive ikea white one. works
great. we haven't bought these. but, they'd be a
great purchase for family visits 18mos plus.

ps: you can tell it's the fully reclining one if the
recline/release lever is in the front (not in the back)

like this:
http://www.fisher-price.com/en_US/brands/babygear/products/52480the
fp space savers with the lever in the back only
reclines the back of the chair...not the full tilt.
full tilt has been critical for us. hth.

A contract is a great way to make everyone's
expectations clear (for both of you)... and I don't
think any good night nanny (or other caregiver) would
balk at your expecting her/him to clear a background
check, given the responsibility. And, I recommend this
every time -- but "Nannies for Modern Moms" by Alyce
des Rosiers is a FANTASTICALLY helpful resource, and
addresses all the questions you brought up - and it's a
quick, efficient read.Good luck to you!!
