anonymous - 2/19/2013 3:35 pm
Does anyone have a marriage therapist that they can
recommend that is covered by Cigna insurance? I have
searched in the archives and seen a lot of therapist
recommendations but can't find any that are covered by
my insurance. Thank you.

feeling awful hormones all over the place and can't

Hi all,Does anyone have cute or creative ideas for
labeling cribs? I have read that it's important to give
them their own things early on - and at 4 months I
think they're ready for individual cribs... ??Thanks!

You could do something easy by just putting their
initial above crib or even spelling their names out.
Pintrest has tons of decorating ideas. Good luck!

My coworker takes her children there for swim lessons
and I'm considering starting mine in the March session.
She said that the water temperature is colder than
advertised and it's noticeably warmer in the San Bruno
and Presidio pools. They do have a hot tub but it's
only so big and not meant for staying in for an
extended time. She's not sure about the slide because
they don't use it for classes but she did mention
seeing a large shark, which they must bring out for
parties (?), and other floaties. The recreation people
should be able to tell you more about the toys they
have.

Thanks! I'm hearing more and more that it is a cold
pool. A friend said they keep it at 78-82 degrees. ANd
it's more of a lap pool._________________ From: CEmama

I have two suction cupped bath mats to prevent the
slipping and a protector over the spout. My guys have
bathed together since they were about 16 mo. It is
chaos. I take one out at a time and the one who is
taken out is usually screaming blue murder to be
allowed to continue playing with his brother in the
tub.I can largely see the one in the tub while I am
dressing the other in his PJs in the bedroom. I ask
the one in the tub to "talk" to me while he is playing
so I can hear him if he slips. They are both becoming
more adventurous as they approach 2, about "blowing
bubbles" in the tub and "swimming" which on the one
hand is cute and on the other is really scary! They
also know how to turn the water on by themselves so no
matter how much I turn it off, they turn it right back
on!

Molly397 - I love the "sit down, please" rule. At what
age did you start using it and when did they
understand? What would you do if you weren't finished
bathing him or her? Out and dried straightaway
regardless or quick rinse first?

I never used any sort of bath seats for my guys (and
girl), but I did cover the entire bottom of the tub
with skid-free mats. I'm looking back and it looks
like we moved them to the "big tub" just before their
first birthday, so they were pros at sitting but hadn't
transitioned entirely to the standing/walking side of
things, so maybe that's why I wasn't worried about
chairs.

Hi Natasha, Thanks for responding. I think a single
mom's subgroup could be useful... given that we have an
additional set of challenges! I dont know how many of
us are out there, but a private group might flush out
some new connections and I would definitely be
interested in using use the board and seeing how it
goes. Best RegardsBridget

Hello, again! All set!! Please go to the "Subgroups"
tab, and find the "Single Parents" group listing
towards the bottom (it's alphabetical) and click thru
to join. It's titled "Single PARENTS", as we have had
at least one single dad in the past, but I suspect
it'll mostly be moms... I'm currently the default
admin, but am happy to turn that over to a member of
that group, so that it's completely confidential. I
hope this'll be useful!
