If the music store "Lark in the Morning" still exists,
they might have some (or be able to help you find
some...) and maybe try Freecycle?

Hello moms and dads, I am looking to get back in shape
and was wondering if anyone can recommend a gym or set
of classes that I could take to get me back in shape.
Any great yoga places, pilates, or has anyone used "The
Daily Method" or the other the "Daily Bar" thing. I"m
looking for anything that has helped you get back in
shape!!!! I would really appreciate it any
recommendations and great shape up stories!!

I am taking Stephanie Forester's Pilates series for
diastasis, and I love it! preggopilates.comI'm about
halfway through the series. My abs are way stronger and
don't stick out as far :o) I love leaving there feeling
sore every time.

I highly recommend the Bar Method. They have two
studios in SF, one in the Marina and the other in one
of the Embarcadero buildings. The classes are an hour
long, and you really work all parts of your muscle
groups, strengthening your core. They have classes at
all times of the day so it's easy to schedule. Their
web site address is, www.barmethod.com. Please mention
my name if you decide to try it out. They have special
deals for new customers ;-)

We sleep trained ours in separate rooms, because our
boy is a puker and could not CIO. So while I would try
keeping them in the same room, you should also be open
to separating them (temporarily) if necessary.I would
also wait until they are 6-8 months old and feeding
only 1 time a night or less (depending on weight etc).
3 feedings a night suggests that they are still very
small - probably too small to sleep train successfully.

I always make sure that this courtesy works both ways.
Sometimes my nanny asks for an hour off (and she makes
it up), and sometimes I let her go early (and she makes
it up). So you should tell your nanny that you would
like the courtesy to go both ways. If she refuses,
then have her stay that hour (even tho you don't need
her for childcare) and do a special deep cleaning of
the playroom/nursery, or laundry, or send her to the
grocery store to do some shopping, or whatever.I should
also note that my nanny has two children of her own,
and she LOVES it when I let her go early. So if your
nanny would rather work the hours, and refuses to
extend the courtesy in both directions, then give her
something else to do for the time when you don't need
her for childcare.
