2. App for Breastfeeding Twins
--------------------------------------------------------
lmcdowell - 3/5/2013 4:08 pm
My twins aren't here yet, but I'm hoping to breastfeed
and wanted recommendations for an app that's good for
tracking everything for twins. There are some
recommendations from a previous post, but that was over
a year ago so though there may be new ones people are
using and liking. Thanks!

4. Schools?

So many questions. Hoping the parents of twins elders
here can provide some insight/advice/share your
experiences, please. Did you stay in the city for
Kindergarten? Did you move away before that to get
into a good preschool? Is there such a thing as feeder
preschools to the 'good' schools
(private/public/charter?) Which schools are the 'good
schools'? Which are hidden gems? If you moved,
where'd you move to and why/how/factors did you choose
the community? If you stayed in the city, did you
choose public school even if the lottery didn't work
out the way you wanted? Or was your back up plan
private schools, and when did you put your name on
waitlists for those, and does the timing work out that
if you don't get into your preferred public lottery
school, then can you then 'accept' at a private school
- or do you really/logistically need to commit one way
or the other before? Did anyone home school for K,
then lottery again for 1st grade? Is that even
possible? Would love to hear any words of wisdom.
Thanks so much in advance.

I chose not to drive when my kids were young and we
went everywhere but I had no problem walking as much as
three miles each way with them in the stroller. I had
two strollers - my walking stroller (which probably
could have withstood a snowstorm) and a much lighter
weight McLaren which folded easily. We also took MUNI
and taxis. Taking them on a streetcar will be much
easier than the bus - from Noe Valley, she can take the
J to the N to the Academy of Sciences. Soon, the
Exploratorium will open on the Embarcadero. But either
option will still require a bit of walking. Best of
luck.
