I'm cool with it. Besides, I'd like more pictures that have me IN the shot. ;-)

RJ

On Sun, Mar 10, 2013 at 11:16 AM, Robin Lee Powell <rlpowell@digitalkingdom.org> wrote:
Subject: [Sfbay-poly] Poly Photography Project

Hello everyone!

I've been out of the poly event loop for a few years, but I'm very happy to
start coming to meet-ups and getting involved in the community again. The
UC Berkeley conference was great, and it was really nice to see some
familiar faces there. I thought I would reach out to you all on here to put
forth a proposal for a project I am working on to see if any of you would
be interested in collaborating with me on this venture. I'll be coming to
the new East Bay meet-up tonight, the South Bay meet-up on Saturday, and
the Palo Alto meet-up on Sunday, so I look forward to meeting more of you
there!

My project is focusing on portraits and documentary photography of people
in non-traditional relationships and families, specifically polyamorous
people and their partners in their homes. My most recent past work has
focused on my own polyfidelitous relationship and alternative family and
this new work is a continuation and an expansion on this theme, and a labor
of love. Initially this work will be shown in a student gallery at San Jose
State where I am working towards my MFA, but the photographs will be part
of a long-term collaborative book project which will also incorporate
personal narratives. If you are interested in collaborating with me on this
project and allowing me to photograph your non-traditional relationship and
family please get in touch.

You can find examples of my work and photography style on my website listed
below, but keep in mind that this project won't be focused on people in the
nude :)

Much care to you and yours,

Chrysta
