Facetime or other video chat is great. Leave a worn
shirt or something that smells like you - seems to have
helped my kids calm down when I was away. Make sure
you've got plenty of photos & videos of them on your
phone :)

I've done both now, and I'm so happy I ended up with
our nanny. Less for the attention (I thought they got
plenty at daycare), more for the "perks" of not having
to do drop-off & pickup, having someone to clean up
dishes, feed them dinner, do some laundry, etc. It may
be a challenge to find a daycare with 2 spots, but you
never know until you look around. In our case our older
son was going to a daycare so we were able to reserve 2
spots early. But then the daycare closed when the
woman running it moved away.

A lactation consultant told me to allow the babies to
flail and fuss for a few minutes, they just need to get
it out of their system before settling down and eating.
Not sure I totally buy that, but it did seem to help to
take a deep breath and be patient. Keep a towel handy
to deal with leaking milk. Frustrating for sure, but
they do grow out of it.One twin mom came up with the
term "scream feed", which cracked me up and helped get
through those witching hour feeds.
