1. Night Nurse/Night Nanny Recommendations and Advice?

Our twins are due in November and we want to hire a
night nanny to help with feeding and getting them on a
sleep schedule (not sure if there is a difference
between a night nurse and a night nanny). We're
looking for referrals for night nannies and advice
about whether a month is sufficient and/or if there are
other issues you think we should consider. Thank you!

Are they walking? if not, then go first class for
sure. if they are walking, just get 3 or 4 coach
seats, as you will not be sitting for most of the
flight anyway!

I'm in the exact same situation as you, starting Monday
(with an added 3 year old in the mix - fortunately
she's in school 5 days / week and I'm starting
aftercare). My kiddos aren't great nursers either, so
it's a lot of pumping. I had the same problem with the
first kid and it was really stressful trying to pump
while working around just 1 schedule, 2 is giong to
suck. (she eventually got it, but I don't know even if
I could tandem feed all they need that I'd have the
patience for all that).Not sure if it's going to work,
but here's my plan:- taking up friends on their offer
to help and encourage visits (I have 1 senior citizen
friend doing mornings while I take kiddo to school next
week)- taking walks (in car seat) after nursing so
their good and tired and pumpwhen they get home (
probably will pump less frequently but get more milk
each session)- hiring high school and college kids as
mommy's helper (I have a bunch begging for it, so might
be able to share some if you need)- bought the Madela
Freestyle pump (if you don't have this, it's a life
changer. Insurance companies are required to provide
pumps, but this one isn't likely included, so you gotta
bite the bullet, but it's soooo worth it. It's got 3
hours rechargeable battery life and the size of a big
walkman that you can walk around the house, make lunch,
work on a computer, drive the car, etc. It's $350~ on
Amazon and well worth it - even if you have all the
help in the world.) Only problem is you can't hold
babies or bend down. - during feedings we typically put
one on our lap and the other in a Boppy single nursing
pillow (they're actually marketed not just as a nursing
pillow but also as a baby prop) on the couch next to
us. I also heard Podee bottles are good for twins. And
if none of that works, babies will have to cry for 10 -
15 minutes a couple times a day. It won't kill them
(older generation will say crying is good for their
lungs) - it's painful, but we can do it. We can do it -
my husband took all 3 kids to the park yesterday for
over 2 hours on his while I was on a call. If he can do
it ....Fingers crossed for the both of us. Cheers
