1. Joining our Facebook group

nataliasha2004 - 7/10/2013 1:20 pm
Just a reminder that we have a really active group on
Facebook. It's limited to SFPOM members only, so if
you sign up asking for approval to join that group, we
have to check that you are a current member. (It's
fine for spouses, partners to join the group, too, but
we need to know what name your POM membership is
under.) When people join the Club and don't provide
last names, this makes it more challenging for us - so
PLEASE drop me a quick email letting me know that
you're waiting on approval to join the FB group (and
under what name, if it's an alias), as well as what
name your POM membership is under, if they're not the
same. If you can complete your member profile on this
(BigTent) website with your partners name, etc. that is
also a real timesaver for us, and gets you into the FB
group more quickly. Thanks, everyone!

nice person. Works indoor and outdoor. He asks $50 per
hour. I highly recommend him.His name is Jeff Monroe,

Hi,I don' think I will have more children, but I still
want to find a different/new OBGYN. I'm thinking of
going the UC route but am worried no one is taking new
patients. If you have someone to recommend, please let
me know. You can email me privately if that feels more
comfortable: virginia@bbcreativesf.comthanks!

the things that came in handy. Lots of pillows and
extra pillowcases in a color other than whiteA camping
foam pad for your husband to put on the pull out bed
and a blanketFlip flops and slippers for you in a size
larger than you're wearing now to make room for
swelling. Nursing bras and a hands free pumping
braPortable speaker for tunesPlug ins for all your

We had a wonderful delivery at St. Luke's (also with
Dr. Rubashkin, and Dr. Norrell) with a birth Doula, who
goes by "Star" (Her name is Pamela Starr - I can find
her contact info and send to you offline. She's quite
experienced, a mom herself, and her first teacher was a
twin with twin-delivery experience. She's probably
done other twins since ours.) Our Baby B was breech,
and we were still able to do a vaginal delivery.
HOWEVER -- after completing our Bradley birth prep
class, we kind of wound up being our own doulas, in a
way -- we really felt remarkably prepared, and knew
what questions to ask, what landmarks to watch for
while laboring, what interventions might be
needed/offered, etc. I highly recommend it!! Our
instructor, Sabine, was actually in the east bay, but
quite close to the bridge, and we are still in touch
with her (& she's still teaching.) She's wonderful.
In case that's of any interest, her contact info is
linked below, and I'm happy to chat with you by phone
or offline, in case you had any questions about that.
It's a fairly intensive class, but SO empowering and
informative, yet relaxed (it's in her home), and
classes are small so you get to know the other couples
pretty well. We left every session feeling excited
and way more prepared than we ever expected.

luck to you! : )
