Over 120 SF State freshmen received a hands-on service learning lesson by participating in native habitat restoration and trash debris pick up at Lake Merced. In Golden Gate Park, 40 youth ministry freshmen from USF spruced up the Bercut Equitation Center, pulling weeds and removing debris from along the perimeter of the corral to prepare for the big Party for the Parks. The workday proved to be an excellent introduction to the unique and extensive park system within the City of San Francisco. </span></p>
