1. Yikes! Does anyone know a babysitter for (early) tonight?

werkkate - 9/25/2013 1:18 am
Hi All, My regular sitters cannot do it, and even
though I am pretty well resigned to the possibility of
missing a free food event with my husband, I thought I
would ask if anyone knows someone who could look after
our three boys (3,3,7) tonight from 4:30 to 9:00. We
live in Presidio Heights.

2. Parents of 4-6-month(ish) Babies Want to Start a Playgroup?
--------------------------------------------------------
lmcdowell - 9/24/2013 8:23 pm
I'm a (new) SAHM to 5-month old twin boys and would
like to start a playgroup with other twins around the
same age. I live in South Beach (near the ballpark) and
would be up for hosting at my house, or at a playground
near me, or would be open to other neighborhoods too
depending on who joins. Perhaps we can rotate?I'm not
too concerned about the exact age range but having
babies in the same general stage would be fun. If
interested, either comment or message me:-age of your
babies-where you live-availability/preference of
days/times to meet and how often (weekly, monthly,
etc)-where you want to meet

Topic: Bottle feeding 9 month old twins at same time
Just wondering how you all bottle feed your twins at the
same time when you're alone...

I bought our highchairs somewhere between 6 and 9
months. We got the Fisher Price Space Savers, and I
found those to be perfect for bottle feeding both at
the same time. They have three different recline
settings, so the babies can lie pretty far back, and
you just scoot up a chair in front of them and hold the
bottles. Yes, arms can get tired, but I found ways to
prop my arms (the feeding trays work well for that, if
you decide to attach them to do bottles). I remember at
the time wishing I had bought the high chairs earlier,
since it was so unexpectedly so convenient for bottle
feedings. I just found it to be a lot easier than
trying to set up boppys, or other sort of makeshift
arrangements, where invariably one baby would wriggle
out or start slumping, requiring me to put down the
bottles and readjust.

Topic: When did you stop working before giving birth?
Just curious. Trying to get an idea of how long I'll be able
to work before the twins...

I am a nurse and I left work at 31 weeks, but I had no
issues during mypregnancy. Hope this helps."In each

I worked without issue through 6 months. For month 7, I
worked from home acouple days and went in the office
the other days. A little before month 8,I was totally
working from home. I stopped working completely around
33weeks. It was just getting too bothersome and my
brain wasn't functioningas well. It helped to work from
home for a while or else I would have beentotally bored
and stir crazy.

I can be mentor, I'm just not sure if I'm the right
person for that :) We live at Haight Ashbury, have boy
and girl about four months old. The only down side is
that I talk to them in my mother tongue which is Czech,
so I'm not sure it the visit would be valuable.
