Bump... Would love to hear more as I am at 31wks & just
in the middle of transferring my care back to UCSF from
CPMC to increase my chances of a vaginal birth... So
please post online so all can see :-)Athena - maybe
I'll see you there? How far are you? Just visited L&D
tonight in fact for a pre-term labor chek (all was
good) and they said they were busy with twins this
week!

Congratulations to you! I delivered at UCSF - they took
excellent care of me and my twin boys. I am so grateful
to the whole L&D team. From what I recall, you are
correct on items 1 & 2. They moved me from the labor
room to the delivery/operating room when I was fully
dilated and ready to push. As for item 3, only one
person can be with you for the c-section and if there
is an emergency situation, they will ask that person to
leave (that happened to me - I mentioned it not to
scare you, but to say how lucky I was to be at UCSF.
They saved the day; everyone was amazing and I received
the very best of care).I am not quite sure about item
4, my guess is that they will not let you trade the
nursery braclet between two people. It just seems like
it is too risky for the hospital, lack of quality
control, too much room for error/mistakes. If I
remember correctly, my husband (he had a braclet) was
able to escort one person at a time to the nursery/NICU
to see the twins. I hope that helps. Congrats again -
having multiples is an awesome journey :)
